Description

Aquaforest Component B

Aquaforest Component B is a concentrated liquid supplement formulated to restore and maintain trace heavy metals in marine reef aquaria. Over time, filtration and skimming remove minute but important metals such as iron, manganese, copper and zinc; Component B replaces those elements in ratios that reflect natural seawater. When corals and filter feeders receive balanced amounts of these microelements they show improved color and healthy growth.

Component B is designed to be used alongside Components A and C as part of a complete microelement program — dose each component separately and keep a short time interval between additions to avoid direct mixing. Start with the manufacturer’s recommended weekly dose and adjust based on aquarium biomass and measured consumption. Regular testing and gradual changes ensure stable, reef-safe results.

Key benefits

  • Replenishes essential heavy metals (iron, manganese, copper, zinc, etc.).
  • Supports coral coloration, metabolism and tissue growth.
  • Formulated to mirror natural seawater microelement ratios.
  • Works with Components A and C for a complete microelement dosing routine.

Who it’s for

Aquarists running mixed or coral-rich reef systems who want to maintain steady trace-element levels. It suits both beginners (follow weekly dose) and experienced keepers (adjust dose to consumption and coral load).

Composition & plain-language purpose

Component B provides calibrated concentrations of heavy metals commonly required by corals and invertebrates: cobalt, copper, chromium, manganese, vanadium, zinc, nickel and iron. These microelements are necessary in small, balanced amounts to support enzymatic processes and pigmentation. For batch-specific ingredient details consult the product label.

Dosing guide

  • Standard weekly dosing (mixed reef): 5 ml per 100 L (approx.) once a week.
  • Alternate drop dosing for small tanks: 10 drops per 10 L (adjust based on coral density).
  • Daily microdosing: divide the weekly dose by seven and dose daily for steadier levels.
  • When using Components A, B and C, keep a 5-minute interval between each dose and do not mix components in the same container.
  • Always monitor aquarium parameters and adjust dosing to your specific tank’s consumption.

Practical tips

  • Begin with the recommended dose and monitor coral response over 2–4 weeks.

  • Reduce dose for lightly stocked tanks and increase only slowly for densely populated systems.

  • Use in combination with regular water changes, stable calcium/alkalinity/magnesium and routine water testing.

Storage & handling

Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Keep bottle tightly closed and out of reach of children. Do not combine components in one container or store mixed solutions.

Precautions

  • Product for aquarium use only — keep away from children and pets.

  • If contact with skin or eyes occurs, rinse thoroughly with water.

  • Consult test results or a reef specialist before major dosing changes in sensitive systems.
