Overview

Microlife S2 is a liquid bacterial supplement formulated to add stable colonies of nitrifying bacteria to freshwater, planted, and marine aquaria. Specifically, it supports the natural nitrogen cycle by introducing beneficial strains that convert toxic ammonia to nitrite and then to less harmful nitrate. Therefore, tanks mature faster, uneaten food and organic waste break down more efficiently, and overall water clarity improves.

How it works

The product contains a blend of selected bacteria that begin working in the water column and on filter media. Over time, these bacteria establish in your filter and substrate, increasing biological filtration capacity. As a result, you experience fewer ammonia spikes and reduced nitrite levels — especially useful after setup, after large water changes, or after adding new livestock.

Dosing & usage

• Maintenance dose: 10 ml per 100 L of aquarium water once weekly.

• New tank / quick maturation: Dose once daily for 5 consecutive days at 10 ml per 100 L.

• After big water changes or stocking: Use a single maintenance dose (10 ml/100 L) to help rebalance bacteria.

• Start with the recommended dose and observe tank parameters; adjust only if needed. Always shake well before use.

Compatibility & precautions

• Microlife S2 is compatible with fish, shrimp, corals, and plants when used as directed.

• Avoid simultaneous use with strong antibacterial medications; these can temporarily reduce bacterial effectiveness. Therefore, pause bacterial dosing while treating with antibiotics and resume after treatment ends.

• Keep out of reach of children. Not for human consumption.

Storage & shelf life

Store the bottle in a cool, dark place away from direct sunlight. Use within the manufacturer’s recommended period after opening for best activity.
