Blue Pet is a budget aquarium accessories brand built for hobbyists who want reliable, functional equipment without overspending. The brand covers the full range of everyday aquarium needs, from filtration and lighting to aeration and tank accessories. Ocean Paws stocks genuine Blue Pet products and ships them across India.

Blue Pet Filtration Products

Filtration is the core of any healthy aquarium and Blue Pet produces several filter types designed to cover different tank sizes and setups. Their bio sponge filters are the most popular in the range. A sponge filter draws water through a dense foam block where beneficial bacteria colonise and break down ammonia and nitrite. The design is simple, nearly silent and excellent for tanks where gentle flow matters, such as breeding tanks, betta setups and hospital tanks. Blue Pet makes sponge filters in multiple sizes to match tanks from five litres up to larger community setups.

Blue Pet also produces corner box filters, also known as internal corner filters or air-driven box filters. These work on the same principle as sponge filters but use a box filled with filter media such as wool, carbon or ceramic rings. They are popular for nano tanks and shrimp setups where chemical and mechanical filtration are needed alongside biological. Blue Pet manufactures hang-on-back filters as well, which clip onto the tank rim and pull water through a cartridge or media stack, making them easy to install and maintain without getting your hands wet.

At Ocean Paws we stock the Blue Pet Bio Sponge Filter starting from ₹150, one of the most affordable ways to set up proper biological filtration in India.

Blue Pet Aquarium Lighting

Blue Pet produces submersible LED lights designed to sit fully inside the tank. Unlike overhead lights, submersible LEDs are placed along the back wall or bottom of the aquarium and create a completely different visual effect. They work well in planted tanks, aquascaping setups, betta tanks and decorative water features where you want the light source hidden or positioned for a specific look. The T4 series is one of their most recognised submersible models, offering a clean spread of light at a price that makes experimenting with tank lighting accessible to everyone.

Blue Pet also makes clamp-on and hood-mounted LED lights for standard aquariums. These are aimed at entry-level setups where the keeper wants white or mixed spectrum lighting without complex controls or high wattage.

Ocean Paws stocks the Blue Pet T4 Submersible LED from ₹330, a great option for accent lighting or as a primary light in smaller tanks.

Blue Pet Aeration and Air Pumps

Blue Pet manufactures aquarium air pumps rated for a range of tank volumes. Their pumps are designed for quiet operation and steady airflow, making them suitable for running sponge filters, air stones, protein skimmers and undergravel filters. They produce single-outlet and dual-outlet models with adjustable flow valves. Paired with their own sponge filters, a Blue Pet air pump can run the entire filtration and aeration system in a small to medium freshwater tank at a very low cost.

Blue Pet Accessories

Beyond filtration and lighting, Blue Pet produces a range of small aquarium accessories. These include airline tubing, check valves, suction cups, gravel vacuum siphons, fishnet handles and aquarium thermometers. These are the everyday items that aquarium keepers go through regularly, and Blue Pet keeps them priced low enough that stocking up does not feel like a significant expense.

Who Blue Pet Works Best For

Blue Pet is a practical choice for beginners setting up their first tank and for experienced keepers who need reliable secondary equipment such as a quarantine filter or backup lighting. The brand does not chase premium specifications but it delivers consistently on the basics. If you want equipment that does its job without fuss, Blue Pet is worth considering.
